When visiting Buffalo to see a Bills home game or major stadium event, you may want to avoid downtown Buffalo and stay at a nice hotel close to Highmark Stadium. To help you choose, I’ve listed the best hotels near Highmark Stadium.
As you browse my recommended hotels near Highmark Stadium, keep in mind that you are going to Buffalo for the event, not necessarily the hotel. If you have a limited budget, I recommend spending more on your Buffalo Bills tickets or concert tickets and less on your hotel. You won’t remember your hotel, but you will remember the great seats you had for your event at Highmark Stadium!
Where Is the Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, NY?
Highmark Stadium is located in the charming little town of Orchard Park, NY which is 10 miles south of the city center of metropolitan Buffalo, NY. This rural area of Buffalo is the perfect location for a big NFL stadium, with plenty of space for hotels and stadium parking lots.
Being outside the city means that fans traveling to Buffalo can enjoy their Bills game or concert without dealing with the chaos of city center madness. The 5 Best Hotels Near Highmark Stadium
Ok… now to the good stuff! Here are the five best hotels near the Buffalo Bills stadium. Keep in mind, these aren’t necessarily the closest hotels near Highmark Stadium, but rather the best hotels in the surrounding area. I’ll also list the closest hotels to the stadium below, but as you’ll see they are not worth recommending.
1. The Fields of Eden Inn
Located just 11 miles south of the stadium, the Fields of Eden Inn is the best hotel near Highmark Stadium. Guests can enjoy the luxury of a newly renovated hotel south of Buffalo.
The Fields of Eden Inn is a relatively affordable hotel near Highmark Stadium, offering three types of suites with a private cabin feel. Guests can enjoy the use of a jacuzzi tub, fireplace, and watch game replays on a 4K smart television.
Each suite comes with a luxurious bed with extra linens, a simple kitchen and fast free WiFi access. For the colder months of the year, guests of this Highmark Stadium hotel will never be cold with radiant heated floors.
One modern feature about the Fields of Eden Inn that I really like is the ease of check in. Guests don’t need to speak with a receptionist upon entering the hotel. Once your reservation is booked, you will receive a digital key card to your email, allowing you to access your suite at your convenience.
If you are looking for a very good hotel near Highmark Stadium, but in a quiet and comfortable area, look no further than the Fields of Eden Inn.

The Hampton Inn of East Aurora has an excellent central location for a sports road trip to Buffalo. Located in East Aurora, just southeast of Buffalo, you’ll love how close this hotel is to the Bills Stadium and the Buffalo Sabres arena.
It’s super easy to get from the Hampton Inn East Aurora to Highmark Stadium – it’s a 10 mile drive straight down Highway US-20A to the stadium. Likewise, it’s nearly all highway driving to get to the KeyBank Center, which is just 20 miles away.
All visitors can receive their room keys via email and use a digital door pass to enter their suites at their convenience. With Hampton Inn’s connecting room options, free parking, EV charging options, and a business center with free WiFi, there is something to accommodate everyone.
This well-reviewed Hilton hotel is the perfect stay for any fan going to Highmark Stadium. All rooms are non-smoking rooms, allowing guests to enjoy a clean and refreshing atmosphere. Every guest can start their day with a free hot breakfast. On-site, guests have access to a modern fitness center, lounge area, an indoor swimming pool, small library, laundry facilities, and a snack area.
Are pets allowed? Absolutely! The Hampton Inn Aurora East hotel is one of the only pet-friendly hotels near Highmark Stadium.
3. Hampton Inn Hamburg
Of all the Buffalo hotels I feel confident recommending to you, the Hampton Inn of Hamburg is tied for the closest hotel to Highmark Stadium. Under 5 miles away, guests of the Hampton Inn (a Hilton hotel) can get to the stadium quickly via the US-20 interstate highway.
After a big Bills game or event at Highmark Stadium, a hockey game at KeyBank Center, or other excursions, guests can arrive at the hotel and enjoy all the amenities at one cost. Wake up in the morning to a free hot breakfast, use the laundry facilities, spend time at the indoor pool, work up a sweat at the fitness center, or conduct some business meetings in one of their conference rooms.
Guests of this Highmark Stadium hotel will enjoy modern rooms, complete with king-size bed, sofa, working desk, free WiFi, and minimal kitchen necessities. The Hampton provides sofas that convert into beds, giving your family more bang for the buck.

Practically next door to the Hampton Inn Hamburg, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hamburg is also conveniently located off I-90. It too is one of the only hotels very close to Highmark Stadium that I would recommend to you.
When visitors come to see a Buffalo Bills game, attend an event at Highmark Stadium, watch a hockey game, enjoy Six Flags Amusement Park, or wander the coast of Lake Erie, they will have peace of mind knowing that their hotel is nearby.
Hamburg’s Holiday Inn Express & Suites is one of the many Highmark Stadium hotels that has so much to offer visitors. Their newly remodeled rooms are comfortable and organized with high-speed free WiFi, big beds, working desks, small sofas, air conditioners, mini kitchenettes, and more. Guests won’t need to leave their room for much, other than to explore the area or the many amenities of the hotel.
Pets aren’t allowed (unless they are service animals), but there is an indoor swimming pool, a fitness and business center with free WiFi, a free breakfast buffet, free parking, and more.
5. Staybridge Suites Buffalo, an IHG Hotel
Last, but not least, of my recommended hotels near Highmark Stadium is the Staybridge Suites Buffalo. At the Staybridge Suites Buffalo, guests will enjoy rooms designed with high-quality and modern touches. Guests can enjoy a full kitchen, a comfy king-size bed, a TV, free WiFi, a work desk, and more in their suite. Head to the breakfast area to enjoy a free meal in the morning.
Personally, whenever I’m on a sports road trip, I tend to get tired of eating in restaurants three meals a day. Having a full kitchen is a really nice feature, allowing guests to make their own meals when they get tired of restaurant food. Cooking your own meals also help keep the cost of your trip down too.
The hotel provides common areas for all guests to share. From swimming in the heated pool, working out in the fitness center, conducting meetings in the business center, to accessing free parking, guests will feel at home.
The Staybridge Suites Buffalo hotel is a great choice for a hotel near Highmark Stadium.
The Closest Hotels near Highmark Stadium
In my list of the best Highmark Stadium hotels, the closest two hotels to the stadium were 5 miles away. What if you want to stay closer to Highmark Stadium? There are three hotels within 2.5 miles of Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park. Although these hotels are close to Highmark Stadium, they do not meet my criteria for recommending them to my readers.
The closest hotels to Highmark Stadium are:
Econo Lodge Buffalo South: I stayed at this hotel the night before my Bills game. It’s also just 2 miles away from the Bill Stadium. I’m still mad at them for advertising free breakfast, only to find they didn’t actually offer it. (I see they offer simple “to-go” breakfast in a bag now).
Stadium View Inn: This average hotel is 2 miles away from the Highmark Stadium. It’s close enough that you could theoretically walk to the Bills game if you wanted, but it will be along the I-90, so not the nicest walk in the world.
Red Carpet Inn Orchard Park, NY: This is the only hotel within walking distance of Highmark Stadium – just 0.5 miles away (roughly 10 minute walk).
Affordable Highmark Stadium Hotels
I can tell you one thing from my experience booking hotels near Highmark Stadium… these hotels know when the Bill games are and they raise their prices dramatically on game day weekend. If you can afford the room prices for my recommended hotels near Orchard Park above, then you won’t go wrong.
When I go on a sports road trip, I try to find the best hotel I can for a reasonable price. When booking hotels around a sports event, like a Bills game, or a concert, for me, this usually means finding a hotel a little further away from Highmark Stadium. If you are planning a trip to Buffalo for a Bills game, you can start finding affordable accomodation anywhere 20 miles or more away from Highmark Stadium.
Remember my golden rule for sports road trips: spending less on your hotel means you can afford better Bills tickets!
Where I Stayed near Highmark Stadium
My sports road trip to Buffalo included catching a Buffalo Sabres game at KeyBank Center on Saturday night. After the Sabres game, I drove south towards my hotel near Highmark Stadium – the Econo Lodge Buffalo South. As discussed above, I wasn’t happy with my stay and won’t recommend them to you.
After catching the Bills play the Packers on Sunday Night Football, my sports road trip continued. After the game I hopped in my rental car and started driving towards Cleveland, where I was going to watch the Bengals play the Browns on Monday Night Football.
Driving a ways away from the Bills stadium allowed me to find a nice hotel at a reasonable cost – even on Bills game day. I stayed at the Best Western Dunkirk & Fredonia Inn – 40 miles south of Orchard Park.
